Veteran tech company Apple has added nine sub-categories to the search tab to make search easier in podcasts. The company said in a blogpost on Tuesday that these sub-categories make it easy for listeners to find their next favorite show among a variety of popular genres and topics. These nine subcategories are – mental health, relationships, self-improvement, personal journals, entrepreneurship, documentaries, parenting, books and language learning.
Finding podcasts in your native language just got easier
Each sub-category has its own charts, which show the top shows and top episodes available in the market for the users. All 19 categories and these nine sub-categories have been revamped with new artwork and recommendations, the company said. These include Apple Podcasts Essentials with easy-to-navigate rows for charts and additional sub-categories. It states that listeners in the US, UK, Canada and Australia can also now search for podcasts by language and easily find podcasts in their native language.
According to the report, in Apple Podcasts, listeners can access all categories, sub-categories and podcasts by language from the Search tab on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. The tech giant further mentioned that in this Apple podcast, listeners can browse charts for a specific category or sub-category from the category page.
